Two Native-owned enterprises are included in 2018’s ranking of America’s top employers for women, compiled by Forbes.
The Chickasaw Nation Department of Commerce ranked #152 and Hard Rock International ranked #177 overall, and #7 and #8, respectively, in the Travel & Leisure category. Both organizations are considered leaders in Indian gaming in the U.S. and have a huge impact on the tourism industry.
The Chicksaw Nation is a leader in tourism in Oklahoma and Indian Country, owning attractions like an historic hotel and numerous gaming establishments including WinStar World Casino and Resort and Riverwind Casino.
Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, has a long history of embracing diversity and empowering people, with locations in 74 countries. The organization’s popular “Women of Seminole Gaming” mentorship program, which has helped increase the percentage of Vice Presidents, will be expanded to include executives from Hard Rock International.
